What is User Data Integration?
Definition
The process of combining user-generated inputs—such as ratings, reviews, and feedback—into PIM systems. It enriches product records with real-world insights that enhance completeness and customer relevance. This integration helps brands evaluate product performance and optimise content strategies.
User information should be integrated only for an authorized purpose with appropriate minimization. For example, an autonomous product data operation could take an authorized role and account context for a catalog request, use the permitted context to select the correct product assortment, and avoid copying unrelated personal information into product records.
