What is DataBridge?
Definition
A data bridge is a Bluemeteor product used as a mapping and transformation layer that connects a source catalog to a target catalog. It standardises, cleans, and restructures product data during movement between systems. This ensures compatibility, accuracy, and readiness for downstream consumption.
A mapping layer must preserve the distinction between source facts and target formatting. For example, an autonomous product data operation could take a supplier catalog requiring a different target structure, apply the approved bridge mappings and transformation rules, and validate the prepared output before downstream delivery.
