Data Integration

Your ERP stays the system of record for what it owns. Nothing more, nothing less.

Autonera connects to the ERP item master field by field: who owns each value, which way it flows, when it synchronizes and what happens when both sides change.

The capability

Integration defined by ownership, not by a nightly overwrite

Industrial distributors and manufacturers rarely struggle to move data between ERP and PIM. They struggle to agree which system is right. Item numbers, base units, weights and sales status belong to the ERP. Marketing descriptions, technical attributes and classifications are usually maintained in product information management. When both are written in both places, the last integration run wins, and nobody can explain why.

Autonera's ERP integration starts from a field-level ownership model. Each mapped field has one owning system and a direction of flow. Changes from the owning side are applied automatically; changes on the non-owning side are not silently overwritten but held as conflicts for a steward to resolve.

Synchronization can be event-driven, when the ERP publishes a change, or scheduled, for systems that only export in batches. Every run is monitored: which records moved, which were held, which failed, and why. That record makes reconciliation questions answerable rather than a matter of comparing extracts by hand.

How it works

Set ownership and run a synchronization

Change which system owns each field, choose the trigger and run a synchronization. Values flow only from the owning side; conflicting edits are held.

SYNCHRONIZATION MONITOR

  1. Connector configured: ERP item master, outbound and inbound.

Functional capabilities

What ERP Integration includes

Connector configuration
Define endpoints, credentials, object types and environments for each ERP connection.
Field mapping
Map ERP fields and code values to Autonera attributes, with transformations and unit handling.
Field-level ownership
Assign the system of record per field and control the direction each value can flow.
Event and scheduled synchronization
React to ERP change events or run scheduled batch exchanges where that is all the source supports.
Conflict holds
Hold values changed on the non-owning side for review instead of overwriting either system.
Integration monitoring
Track runs, record counts, holds and failures, with links to the affected records.

Problems it solves

Where this work usually breaks down

01

Two systems, two truths

Weights and units edited in both ERP and PIM drift apart, and orders, freight quotes and web listings disagree.

02

Overwrites nobody approved

A nightly import replaces enriched descriptions with uppercase ERP short text.

03

Sales blocks that never reach channels

A product blocked for sale in ERP keeps appearing as available online.

04

Failures discovered by customers

Without monitoring, a stalled integration is noticed when a price or status is visibly wrong.

In industrial operations

A distributor aligns its ERP item master with enriched product content

The ERP holds 60,000 active items. Product content is enriched in Autonera, but weights and units are still corrected in both systems.

  1. Integration owners agree field ownership: identifiers, units, weights and sales status to ERP; descriptions and technical attributes to Autonera.
  2. Mappings and unit code translations are configured and tested against a sample extract.
  3. ERP change events update Autonera immediately; enriched short descriptions are written back where the ERP accepts them.
  4. Weight changes made in both systems during the transition are held and resolved by the item master team.

Result: Each field has one accountable owner, and conflicts become reviewable work instead of silent overwrites.

Autonomous operations

How autonomous execution changes erp integration

Agents monitor every exchange, explain conflicts and prepare resolutions, while integration owners keep control of ownership rules and write-back.

Agents carry out

  • Watch synchronization runs and flag stalls
  • Classify held conflicts by likely cause
  • Propose mappings for new ERP code values
  • Recheck records after a correction

People decide

  • Decide field ownership and direction
  • Approve write-back to ERP
  • Resolve conflicts that affect orders or pricing

Evidence recorded

  • Run history with record counts
  • Conflict decisions and who made them
  • Mapping versions in effect for each run

Buyer FAQs

Questions evaluators ask

Which ERP systems can Autonera connect to?

Connections are configured per environment through APIs, files or database extracts. Confirm your specific ERP version and interface method with us during evaluation.

Can Autonera write data back to the ERP?

Yes, for fields where Autonera is the designated owner and the ERP interface accepts updates. Write-back can require approval.

What happens when both systems change the same field?

The change is held as a conflict. Neither system is overwritten until a steward decides.

Do we need real-time integration?

No. Event-driven and scheduled synchronization can be combined per object type.

How is this different from Data Mapping & Transformation?

Mapping defines how fields translate. ERP integration adds ownership, direction, triggers and monitoring for an ongoing connection.
