What is Product Portfolio Management?
Definition
Product portfolio management evaluates and optimises the company’s entire collection of products. Using PIM data, teams identify gaps, performance trends, and opportunities for expansion. It aligns product strategy with customer needs and market demands.
Portfolio management concerns the assortment as a business whole, not only individual content quality. For example, an autonomous product data operation could take a mix of active and retiring lighting ranges, prepare accurate lifecycle and completeness information for portfolio review, and support authorized assortment decisions with current product facts.
