What is Pri PIM?
Definition
The stage before product data enters the PIM system, focused on collection, cleansing, mapping, and preparation. Helps ensure incoming data meets required quality and format standards. Reduces manual cleanup inside the PIM and speeds up product readiness.
This term describes pre-PIM preparation; intake checks reduce defects before records enter the repository. For example, an autonomous product data operation could take a supplier spreadsheet not yet loaded into PIM, clean formats, map fields, and identify missing required values, and pass validated rows to the PIM intake process.
