What is Product Information?
Definition
Product information includes all data points such as attributes, descriptions, pricing, images, and availability. Managing this effectively ensures customers receive reliable, complete information wherever the product appears. PIM centralises and standardises this data for better decision-making.
Useful product information combines identity, specifications, descriptions, and supporting assets. For example, an autonomous product data operation could take a fixture's technical sheet, identifiers, and approved images, assemble the relevant facts and assets into its record, and identify gaps before preparing a channel output.
