What is PIM with DAM?
Definition
A PIM integrated with a DAM system manages both structured product data and rich media assets in one ecosystem. This ensures correct pairing of images, videos, PDFs, and metadata with product records. It enables faster updates, better content governance, and improved omnichannel experience.
Connected product and asset management depends on correct record links and version control. For example, an autonomous product data operation could take a new product record and approved installation PDF, link the DAM asset to the appropriate product identifier, and include the approved file in the channel-ready output.
