What is JSON Schema?
Definition
JSON Schema defines the structure, rules, and validation constraints for data exchanged through APIs. In PIM, it ensures that incoming and outgoing product data follows a uniform format. This improves integration accuracy and API reliability across platforms.
A JSON Schema can constrain types, required properties, allowed values, and nested structure. For example, an autonomous product data operation could take a JSON payload with wattage supplied as text, validate it against required numeric types and fields, and return a field-level error before importing the product.

- Step 2:
JSON Schema
Validate it against required numeric types and fields
- Step 3:
Outcome
Return a field-level error before importing the product
