Autonomous Data Operations

From supplier file to ready product record, with exceptions only

Agents carry new items through ingestion, mapping, classification, enrichment and validation. People see the records that could not be completed and why.

How it works

Follow six fastener records through onboarding

Each row shows how far a record progressed and why it stopped. Lower or raise the classification threshold to see records move between escalation and readiness.

The capability

Onboarding as one continuous operation

New product introduction usually moves through a queue of teams: someone maps the file, someone classifies, someone fills gaps, someone validates. Each handoff adds days, and every item waits for the slowest step.

Autonomous onboarding runs the full sequence per record. Each item advances as far as policy allows and stops with a specific reason when it cannot: unmapped source columns, classification below threshold, attributes with no source evidence or failed validation rules. Ready items do not wait for problem items.

This capability uses the same ingestion, mapping and validation rules as manual onboarding, and integrates with ERP and channel systems through existing integrations. It changes who coordinates the work, not what governs it.

Problems it solves

Where this work usually breaks down

01

Handoffs between teams

Items wait in queues between mapping, classification and enrichment.

02

Batches held by a few problems

A whole supplier file waits on a handful of records.

03

Unclear reasons

Items are stuck without anyone knowing why.

04

Coordinator bottleneck

One person sequences work for every new supplier.

Functional capabilities

What Autonomous Product Onboarding includes

End-to-end sequence
Ingest, map, classify, enrich, validate and verify per record.
Per-record progress
Ready records advance independently of exceptions.
Threshold policies
Set confidence thresholds for classification and mapping.
Specific escalations
Escalate with the stage and reason a record stopped.
Duplicate prevention
Detect items that already exist before creating records.
Integration boundaries
Respect ERP ownership and channel publication rules.

In industrial operations

A fastener distributor onboards a new supplier line

New supplier lines took weeks to publish because each team processed the entire file before passing it on.

  1. The supplier file is ingested and mapped.
  2. Records are classified and enriched from supplier documents.
  3. Validation checks class-specific rules.
  4. Ready records are released; exceptions go to category managers.

Result: Most records reach readiness without waiting, and people work on specific exceptions.

Autonomous operations

How autonomous execution changes autonomous product onboarding

Agents perform and coordinate each onboarding step within the thresholds you set, escalating what falls outside them.

Agents carry out

  • Map and classify records
  • Enrich from supplier evidence
  • Validate and verify readiness
  • Escalate with reasons

People decide

  • Set thresholds
  • Resolve escalations
  • Approve new mappings

Evidence recorded

  • Stage history per record
  • Confidence and evidence
  • Escalation decisions

Buyer FAQs

Questions evaluators ask

Does autonomous onboarding skip governance?

No. It uses the same mapping, validation and approval rules, and escalates whatever falls outside them.

How is this different from Supplier Data Ingestion?

Ingestion covers receiving and staging files. Autonomous onboarding coordinates every step until records are verified ready.

Can we require approval before publication?

Yes. Ready records can wait for approval or proceed according to policy.

What happens to duplicates?

Existing items are detected and routed to matching rather than created again.

Can thresholds differ by category?

Yes. Thresholds can be configured per category or supplier.
